Finding a card that originates from the "Black Swamp" find of impossibly high-grade E98s that can be impressive from a condition standpoint is not an easy feat. All the cards were high-grade all bright with sharp corners and clean surfaces. Yet when this stunner came across our desk featuring Hall of Famer Chief Bender we needed to stop in our tracks. The card is virtually perfect. Well-centered with brilliant white borders and a deep red background we do not know what keeps a card like this from the GEM MINT designation besides perhaps being very very slightly centered to the right. Still a spectacular card the most visually perfect deadball era card that we've been fortunate enough to handle. Despite having the advantage of having been tucked away for a century without being touched this card is a knockout one any collector should strive to own.
