Exceptionally appealing trio of large-format publications dating to the 1920s and 1930s. Collection includes: 1) April 21 New York Times Midweek Pictorial: Popular issue picturing Ruth's portrait set inside a baseball surrounded by a crowd of spectators. Strong visual appeal though with noticable edge wear along with a vertical tear perhaps an inch long at the bottom edge that passes through to all the pages. Some paper chipping is also evident as is some creasing. Still very strong visual appeal. 2) April 16 1932 New York Times Midweek Pictorial: Another widely-collected issue featuring Ruth's image on the cover in full swing. Strong eye appeal but some minor edge tears along with one larger tear at the right edge midway up the page. Moderate toning at the edges as well. 3) April 1935 American Boy: Featuring an illustration of Ruth set in front of an illustrated baseball commemorating Ruth's departure from the Yankees. Moderate edge wear with some visible surface wrinkling and creases mailing label attached. Three publications total.
