I have one to sell!
Among the components of his collection that makes Ted Patterson the most proud is his extensive collection of press pins. As a longtime member of the press Ted obtained many of the pins himself either by attending the events or by trading with his fellow broadcasters. The pins were all displayed inside a glass-top end table in his living room which we literally had to break to open! Included here is a grouping of seven press pins from 1950s All-Star games. Ted did not begin working in the press until the late 1960s so these were all obtained subsequent to the launch of his broadcasting career. Collection includes: 1) 1952 All-Star Game (Philadelphia) 2) 1953 All-Star Game (Cincinnati) - missing backing 3) 1955 All-Star Game (Milwaukee) 4) 1956 All-Star Game (Washington) 5) 1957 All-Star Game (St. Louis) (missing backing); 6) 1959 All-Star Game (Los Angeles); and 7) 1959 All-Star Game (Pittsburgh). Each of the pins appears strong with minor scuffing and age-related wear backs as pictured. Seven pins total.
