Spectacular Yankee Stadium ticket stub from Game 3 of the 1927 World Series between the New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Pirates. Played on October 6 the Yankees would rout the Pirates scoring six runs in the bottom of the 7th to pull ahead partially due to Babe Ruth's home run off Mike Cvengros. Ruth drove in three runs in the contest with Lou Gehrig hitting a double and a triple to drive in two more. Future Hall of Famer Herb Pennock would pitch a complete game for the Yankees scattering just three hits and walking none. The stub has been graded VG-EX 4 (MK) by PSA the MK qualifier due simply to the game date being handwritten in pencil in an unobtrusive area on the front. Clean and colorful the presentation is extremely strong an important stub that in addition to documenting the Yankees' third win of the Series also documents the ninth career World Series home run of Babe Ruth.
