I have one to sell!
Rare large-format composite display featuring members of the 1910 Philadelphia Athletics in commemoration of the team's 1910 World Championship. Though the illustrative image is occasionally seen on a postcard the large-format displays are significantly more rare. We have in fact encountered just two and both - including this one - were associated with the estates of former players lending credence to the theory that the large-format pieces were actually given to players. This example can be traced back to the estate of catcher Jack Lapp though there is no documentation accompanying the piece it traded hands at major auction in 2019 the description citing a 2003 sale of Lapp's personal items that had been consigned by the family. Framed to a finished size of 28.5 x 24.5" the display itself measures approximately 19.5" x 15.5" and appears to be in outstaning condition with no visible creases or sign of wear. The display features Hall of Famers Connie Mack Home Run Baker Chief Bender Eddie Collins and Eddie Plank along with sJimmy Dygert Topsy Harsel Jack Barry Bris Lord Harry Krause Rube Oldring Jack Lapp Pat Donahue Stuffy McInnis Ira Thomas Danny Burphy Ben Houser Harry Davis Paddy Livingstone Jack Coombs Tommy Atkins Cy Morgan and Amos Strunk. A truly exceptional and very rare piece originating from the estate of a player on the team elegantly framed.
