The 1930s Detroit Tigers scorecards are among the most interesting of the era measuring 6 1/8 by 9 1/4" printed on card stock and folding out to a full 225" in length. This example features a game between the Tigers and the New York Yankees a game featuring DiMaggio in his rookie season. This particular game was played on June 20 a 5-0 Tigers shutout with stellar pitching by Tommy Bridges who would scatter just five hits during the game - one each from Red Rolfe Bill DIckey George Selkirk Jake Powell and Tony Lazzeri. With Mickey Cochrane on the cover the piece presents well though as is the case with many of the Navin Field scorecards separation at the folds has necessitated that the piece be repaired at two of the folds with clear tape. Regardless an excellent early scorecard issued during the rookie season of Joe DiMaggio featuring Joltin' Joe and Lou Gehrig together in the Yankee Lineup.
