Exceptional portrait card of Hall of Fame pitcher Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown with the tougher El Principe De Gales reverses. Graded EX 5 by PSA the card is reasonably centered with square corners and a clean largely-unblemished image. The reverse is also clean. Veteran prewar collectors are well aware that PSA has not always noted the card backs of T206 in their population report. As evidenced by this example simply categorized as "T206 " no notation is actually made for the reverse. This makes it difficult to make unequivocal statements about population on issues like the T206. However a current scan of PSA's population report reveals no examples with the EPDG reverse graded higher than a 4+. While it is certainly possible that there are EPDG-backed Mordecai Brown portrait cards graded by PSA but not catalogued in their population report (like this one) it is also quite possible based on the relatively low population of EPDG Brown cards that this could be the highest-graded. Regardless it is a strong example of a key Hall of Famer with a difficult back at the very least one of the higher-grade specimens assessed by PSA.
