Rarely-seen oversized supplement from the October 6 1948 issue of The Cleveland Press issued on the day of Game 1 of the 1948 World Series with the Boston Braves. The 17" Mx 12 1/2" premium is printed on lightweight paper heavier than newsprint but still susceptible to damage and features a black and white photo of the Indians surrounded by bright red graphics. The team photo features Hall of Famers Lou Boudreau Bill Veecks Bill McKechnie Bob Lemon Satchel Paige Bob Feller and Larry Doby. Edge and corner wear is clear an upper-left corner clip combined with significant edge tears and creasing. Some staining is evident at the bottom of the piece as well as along the right edge with further staining evident on the reverse. Several small creases and folds are also apparent. Despite the wear the piece presents very well an outstanding display featuring multiple Hall of Famers commemorating the 1948 Indians' American League Championship.
