Attractive example of Anson's book contains incredible stories and beautiful pictures throughout nearly 340 pages of baseball anecdotes followed by pages of vintage advertisements. Though the book presents very well it was not previously owned by a collector but a reader; some wear is evident throughout the pages there are several examples of pencil writing on interior pages and the flyleaf and the cover does exhibit wear notably at the edges and corners. Still the green cloth cover presents very well an outstanding document of the career of the most popular player of the 19th Century.
