Printed on extremely thin paper nearly onion skin player assignment agreement for slick-fielding shortstop Willy Miranda. Miranda was born in Velasco Cuba in 1926 and played amateur ball in Cuba until 1947 and was signed by Washington Senators scout Joe Cambria in 1948. He practiced with the Senators in 1950 but was assigned to the Chattanooga farm club for the season and did not join the Senators until early 1951. This assignment agreement is the one that left Miranda in Chattanooga signed by Joe Engel of the farm team and Hall of Famer Clark Griffith owner of the Senators. While the agreement has historical significance to fans of Willy Miranda for sure it is the presence of Griffith's signature that adds its value. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
