Outstanding pair of broadside advertisements for St. Louis Cardinals games from the 1937 season. The broadsides each measure 8" x 18" and are professionally mounted and framed together to a finished size just shy of 21" x 22". The broadsides appear to be in outstanding condition with creases near the center from folding and little other discernable wear save for a small edge tear on the Cardinals/Cubs broadside along the right edge. The September 19 broadside features a photo of the Giants' Carl Hubbell advertising a game the Giants won in extra innings 4-3 after tying it in the 9th on a home run by Wally Berger (Hubbell did not pitch in the game). The September 26 game features a photo of Gabby Hartnett and wound up being a doubleheader due to a rainout on the 24th. The Cardinals won the first game 6-5 but lost the second 8-5. An excellent display featuring two Hall of Famers advertising games during the 1937 St. Louis Cardinals season.
