Tremendous grouping of official Polo Grounds scorecards for New York Giants games including one scorecard from each season of the 1930s. Collection includes: 1) 1930: First game of a July 19 doubleheader against the St. Louis Cardinals won by the Cardinals 4-1 Hall of Famer Jesse Haines getting the win. Hall of Famers Bill Terry Mel Ott Frankie Frisch Chick Hafey Jim Bottomley and Haines were in the starting lineup. G-VG condition the game is scored in pencil with many handwritten notations throughout the scorecard page. The pages have all begun to separate along the fold at the bottom the bottom staple is missing. 2) 1931: Unscored scorecard for a game against the Boston Braves strong eye appeal but significant wear with a few tears creasing on interior pages and paper separation at the fold. Hall of Famers in the scorecard include Freddy Lindstrom Bill Terry Mell Ott Travis Jackson Carl Hubbell Rabbit Maranville Joe Cronin. 3) 1932: Scorecard from the first game of a doubleheader against the Pittsburgh Pirates on September 18 a rescheduled rainout from two days prior. Pittsburgh won the game 7-4 scoring all 7 runs in the first two innings against Hal Schumacher. Scored in pencil and heavily notated Hall of Famers listed include Waite Hoyt Bill Terry Mel Ott Carl Hubbell Lloyd Waner Paul Waner Pie Traynor. Fair condition with significant tearing of all pages at the spine. 4) 1933: Official scorecard from a 2-1 Giants win over the Brooklyn Dodgers on May 30 the first game of a doubleheader during which Hal Schumacher and Van Mungo locked up in a pitcher's duel but Dolf Luque got the win after pitching an inning in relief thanks to Bill Terry's home run in the bottom of the 8th. Hall of Famers listed include Terry Travis Jackson Mel Ott Carl Hubbell Casey Stengel Max Carey and Al Lopez. EX condition save for the pencil scoring and notations. 5) 1934: Outstanding scorecard from an 11-inning marathon won by the Giants 3-2 against the Pittsburgh Pirates on May 28. Larry French pitched right to the end when Hall of Famer Travis Jackson hit a walkoff home run with two outs in the bottom of the 11th. Hall of Famers on the scorecard include Bill Terry Mel Ott Jackson Carl Hubbell Fred Lindstrom Honus Wagner Waite Hoyt Lloyd Waner Paul Waner Pie Traynor Arky Vaughan. Scored neatly in pencil with handwritten notations on the cover EX otherwise. 6) 1935: Scored in pencil August 14 3-0 win for the St. Louis Cardinals who chipped away at Giants pitcher Slick Castleman scoring one run each in the first second and sixth frames. Hall of Famers appearing in the scorecard include Bill Terry Mel Ott Travis Jackson Carl Hubbell Jesse Haines Frankie Frisch Joe
