Pair of attractive prewar baseball programs featuring the Braves and Cardinals. Collecttion includes: 1) 1937 Boston Braves program for a game against the Chicago Cubs. Unscored the program appears in VG condition with toning and discoloration on the interior scorecard page which includes future Hall of Famers Al Lopez and Gabby Hartnett. Frank Demaree appears to have signed the scorecard in pencil though the signature is placed in such a location as to not be particularly strong in terms of display quality. 2) 1946 St. Louis Cardinals program for a game against the Brooklyn Dodgers. Though the game scoring is incomplete we can surmise from the notations that the game took place on August 26 a 2-1 Cardinals victory. The program is in VG condition with a long ago-flattened fold down the center of the program that is still visible the creases breaking the ink of the paper. Pencil marks are evident on the scorecard page itself. Still an attractive early program that includes future Hall of Famerrs Pee Wee Reese Joe Medwick Red Schoendienst Stan Musial Enos Slaughter along with a number of Dodgers and Cardinals favorites. An exceptional collection of star power in two programs.
