I have one to sell!
The first known card of Hall of Fame shortstop Dave Bancroft who was elected by the Veterans Committee in 1971. Owner of a .279 lifetime batting average over a 16-year career Bancroft was considered one of the better shortstops of his era. The Superior (Wisconsin) Red Sox were a Class D team in the Minnesota-Wisconsin League and Bancroft became the league's best-known export. The only player from his team to make a major league roster Bancroft hit .267 in 1910. Postally used in September of 1910 the card front does suffer from some edge chipping due to the black background however the chipping is unobtrusive and not severe. Some additional surface wear is minor the corner rounding consistent with age. The postally-used reverse is legible and clean save for some minor toning and a price written in the upper-right corner in pencil.
