Official Rawlings American League (MacPhail) baseball dating to 1984 signed on the sweet spot by Hall of Fame owner and baseball showman Bill Veeck. The ballpoint signature has faded slightly bu still presents well against the lightly-toned ball. Single-signed baseballs from Veeckare relatively scarce and desirable to begin with. Veeck underwent two lung cancer surgeries in 1984 and passed away in 1986 (just over a year after this baseball was manufactured) makes a signature on this ball all the more difficult. Quite desirable among collectors of single-signed Hall of Fame baseballs an attractive official ball signed by the legendary owner shortly before his passing. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
