Attractive 1908 postcard featuring the Enid Railroaders of the Western Association the team that finished dead last in the league 50 games out of first place with a dismal 38-99 record. The team featured a 19-year-old outfielder whose brother was tearing up the major leagues - a youngster from Georgia named Paul Cobb. Cobb began the season with the club but my June had moved on to the Joplin Miners where he attracted the interest of the St. Louis Browns. Cobb never did make the majors though batting a combined .285 in nine seasons from Class A to Class D ball. The postcard is in G condition with some minor creasing and wear the image quality strong (Cobb is in the middle row third from right). Some writing on the reverse reduces the technical grade. An interesting postcard featuring the little-known brother of the Georgia Peach.
