Collection of six official programs from 1930s World Series. Collection includes the following: 1) 1936 Official World Series Program: Unscored program for the "Subway Series" between the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. Some foxing is evident on the cover intact with some additional foxing on the scorecard pages. 2) 1937 Official World Series Program: Game 1 program the Yankees' 8-1 victory scored in ink. Tony Lazzeri blasted an 8th inning home run in this game Lefty Gomez getting the win and Carl Hubbell the loss. Cover art is strong with light wear at the corners and edges the upper spine repaired with clear tape and some looseness at the interior pages. The bottom-right corner of the cover is creased. 3) 1938 Official World Series Program: unscored program from the Series between the New York Yankees and Chicago Cubs. Strong presentation with wear at the edges and minor creasing at the corners a corner clip at the upper right impacting not only the corner but the first interior page. Minor foxing and discoloration in places inside. 4) 1938 World Series Program: Colorful eight-page program scored for game 1 of the Series a 3-1 Yankees win. Program presents well but is technically in POOR condition creased with clear tape and ink writing along the top edge two spine repairs with clear tape and some tears and paper loss along the bottom edge. 5) 1939 Yankee Stadium Official World Series Program: beautifully-designed program with an illustrated image of Yankee captain Lou Gehrig on the cover scored very lightly in pencile which has faded quite a bit seems to cover Game 2 a Bucky Walters-Monte Pearson pitching duel won by the Yankees 4-0. VG/EX condition with mild wear and corner creases. 6) 1939 Crosley Field Official World Series Program: cover art celebrating baseball's 100th anniversary unscored center page has been detached from its staples and has some paper loss at the upper corner. Mild wear throughout with rich color. Six outstanding programs from 1930s World Series.
