Tremendous grouping of official World Series programs from the 1940s representing all but two of the different programs issued during this period. Collection includes: 1) 1940 Briggs Stadium Program: Scored poorly making it difficult to determine the game the front cover is dated in pencil 10/6/1940 which would imply it was from Game 5 an 8-0 victory for the Tigers over the Cincinnati Reds. Program does exhibit wear notably at the spine and surface the aforementioned writing on the cover as well as interior pages. G-VG condition. 2) 1940 Crosley Field Program: apparent VG/EX condition with some wear at the edges and a lower-left corner crease unscored. 3) 1941 Subway Series Program: VG condition with some surface wear and a lower-right corner clip unscored. 4) 1942 Yankee Stadium Program: Program from the clinching Game 5 a 4-2 Cardinals win that included a leadoff home run by Phil Rizzuto. Apparent VG/EX conditition with some minor staining lightly scored in pencil. Also includes a smaller unofficial scorecard which appears to be from Game 4 in poor condition scored in dark pencil. 5) 1942 Sportsman's Park Program: Scored in pencil for Game 1 a 7-4 Yankees win. Heavy pencil staining on the inside scorecard page well-worn with the spine repaired with clear tape. 6) 1943 Sportsman's Park Program: Unscored FAIR condition with heavy vertical creasing down the center and some areas of staining and paper loss on the cover and inside page. 7) 1943 Yankee Stadium Program: Attractive unscored program apparent EX- condition with light wear on the cover particularly at the top edge. 8) 1944 Sportsman's Park Program: Gorgeous program unscored and in apparent VG/EX condition safe for a long-ago flattened fold down the center and some light creasing north to south along the left edge one of which does break the surface of the blue ink. 9) 1945 Briggs Stadium Program: Scored for Game 1 a 9-0 Cubs victory over the Detroit Tigers. Fair condition interior scorecard page well worn and separating from the staples significant softening and wear to cover and all interior pages. 10) 1945 Wrigley Field Program: Scored for Game 6 an 8-7 victory for the Cubs in 12 innings. EX condition neatly scored in pencil. 11) 1946 Fenway Park Program: Unscored VG/EX condition with some separation from the staples on the center page. Signed on the cover by Bobby Doerr (HOF) and on interior pages by Johnny Pesky and Clyde Kluttz (no authentication on the program). 12) 1946 Sportsman's Park Program: Outstanding program unscored but with some pencil notations on the scorecard page c
