1932 Wrigley Field official scorecard for the World Series against the New York Yankees. One of the most legendary of all the World Series the 1932 contest is infamous for Babe Ruth's "called shot" home run off Charlie Root in Game 3. The Series was a four-game Yankee sweep this scorecard neatly scored in pencil for the Yankees' 13-6 rout. Tony Lazzeri slugged two home runs in the game and Earle Combs added one with Lou Gehrig driving in three runs. Wilcy Moore's outstanding 5.1 inning relief stint in place of Johnny Allen who was removed in the first inning after giving up four runs to the Cubs. The program does exhibit some wear including moderate creasing down the center where it was once folded the crease breaking the surface of the blank ink on the cover. Some additional age-related wear is also evident primarily surface abrasions and some edge and corner wear. The game has been neatly scored in pencil the interior pages intact and sturdy. An important scorecard from a clinching Yankees' World Series game.
