Outstanding official Shibe Park program from the 1913 World Series which pitted the Athletics against the New York Giants won in five games by the Athletics. Just two games in the brief Series were played at Shibe Park; though the scorer did a poor job with the game this example appears to be from the final clinching game won 3-1 by the Giants. The scorebook remains in VG condition sturdy in construction but exhibiting age-related wear throughout that includes creasing at the spine light staining and foxing and a neatly-scored centerfold (though the scorer needs some lessons). A difficult and desirable scorebook from an early World Series this game featuring Hall of Fame heroes Eddie Plank and Christy Mathewson along with Hall of Famers Eddie Collins and Home Run Baker in the starting lineup.
