Attractive quad-fold scorecard for an August 17 1935 match between the Tigers and New York Yankees won 3-2 by Detroit on a pinch-hit RBI groundout by Mickey Cochrane to end the game in the bottom of the 10th. Carefully scored in pencil the scorecard is in excellent condition save for the writing on the scorecard a handwritten (inaccurate) date on the cover as well as the year 1935 written in ink at the lower-right. These Detroit scorecards are difficult to find in better condition as they measure 25" x 9 1/2" unfolded; their odd size makes them unweildy and when scored during a game obviously susceptible to various types of wear and damage. This is one of the more attractive examples we have seen.
