Outstanding 9" x 7" photo dating to January 2 1940 when an ailing Lou Gehrig was sworn in as New York City Parole Commissioner. Joined by mayor Fiorello La Guardia and several other onlookers the photo is in excellent condition with evidence of light wear. The slug is missing from the reverse though the ACME stamp is strong and blue. Guaranteed Type 1.
