Outstanding run of nine official New York Giants Polo Grounds scorecards spanning the entire decade of the 1920s. Collection includes: 1) 1921: May 21 game against the Pittsburgh Pirates a 5-3 victory for the Giants with a Rabbit Maranville home run for Pittsburgh. Light scoring in pencil with discoloration on the scorecard page due to being stored with what was likely a newspaper clipping and a flattened fold down the center. 2) 1922: Lightly-scored game against the St. Louis Cardinals with the game date difficult to determine due to areas where we are unable to decipher the scoring. Program features HOFers Jornsby Bottomly Bancroft Frisch Stengel and Haines. EX appearance. 3) 1923: July 8 1923 game against the Cincinnati Reds a 5-3 victory for the Reds. Highpockets Kelly homered for tthe Giants but Adolfo Luque got the win for the Reds. EX appearance with a flattened fold down the center. 4) 1924: Unscored scorecard for a game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Hall of Famers listed include Lindstrom Frisch Kelly Hornsby Bottomley Hafey and Haines. GOOD condition with various folds and creases along with some light staining and soiling. 5) 1925: Unscored scorecard for a game against the Brooklyn Dodgers. Hall of Famers listed include Southworth Frisch Terry Lindstrom Wheat Vance and Hubbell. VG/EX condition with minor wear and a tiny tear and resultant paper loss at the spine. 6) 1926: June 13 game against the Cincinnati Reds a 10-3 Giants victory behind the pitching of Kent Greenfield. The Giants blasted 14 hits including multi hit games from Frankie Frisch Fred Lindstrom Irish Meusel Highpockets Kelly and Ty Tyson. Scored in dark ink otherwise EX condition. 7) 1927: Unscored game against the Cincinnati Reds. Hall of Famers Lindstron Roush Hornsby Terry Grimes Ott and Rixey are listed. VG/EX condition with mild toning throughout and a faint crease down the center from long-ago folding. 8) 1928: August 4 game against Cincinnati a 13-3 win in the first game of a doubleheader. Freddie Lindstrom blasted his 10th home run in the game which featured multihit games by Andy Reese Les Mann Lindstrom Bill Terry Travis Jackson and Andy Cohen.Vic Aldridge pitched a complete game for the Giants. VG condition with moderate toning some staining on the scorecard and stray pencil marks. 9) 1929: May 11 game against the Chicago Cubs a 6-0 win for the Giants behind Larry Benton's 2-hit shutout. Bill Terry homered and drove in five runs for the Giants. Scored meticulously in ink a long-ago flattened crease down the center otherwise EX. Nine scorecards total.
