Beautiful colorful example of the Hall of Fame second basemen from one of the hobby's more scarce caramel issues the E105 Mello Mint Gum series. Issued in 1910 by the Texas Gum Company the E105 series was a 50 card set shares its checklist with the various E92 series of cards with an attractive green ad on the reverse. The cards are particularly scarce today with the majority of graded examples at the lower end of the scale (so many have been folded in half lengthwise that it is often theorized that they needed to be folded that way in order to fit into the gum packs). Attractive midgrade card of Hall of Fame second baseman Nap Lajoie graded VG/EX 4 by SGC. Slight corner wear is evident the card image centered to the top left of the canvas. The beautiful Mello-Mint ad on the reverse one of our favorite back advertisements is clean and unblemished.
