Exceptional pair of 1965 Aurora "Great Moments in Sport" plastic models commemorating the 1923 match between Jack Dempsey and Luis Firpo the first time a Latin American fighter would challenge for the heavyweight title. A legendary fight after being knocked down seven times Firpo caught Dempsey with a right to the chin that literally knocked him out of the ring he landed on the scorer's table and suffered a severe cut on his head. In the second round Dempsey knocked out Firpo to retain the title. Two kits appear in excellent condittion though the factory cellophane has been removed from one. The opened box still presents exceptionally well and all the components appear to be inside. The second box is as issued still wrapped in its factory cellophane. Two kits total.
