Spectacular card from this difficult Canadian issue featuring Hall of Famer Hugh Duffy by 1923 no longer manager of the Red Sox as he was let go after a horrible 1923 season in which the team posted a 61-93 record. Duffy did continue on as a scout and occasional instructor sort of the Johnny Pesky of his era in Boston. The card comes from the collection of Ted Patterson where it has been ungraded (Ted owns no graded cards) submitted by us to PSA and thus becoming the highest-graded of the six V100 Duffy cards PSA has assessed. SGC has seen an additional eight Duffy cards with none grading higher than EX 5. This is indeed a tough set. An outstanding card the final example of an important Hall of Famer from the final year of his long career.
