Folded to a finished size of 4 1/8" x 5 1/4" official scorecard for an 1880 game between Columbia and Yale at the Hamilton Park grounds. The opening day of the season for the Bulldogs who featured a backfield of Robert Watson Walter Camp Benjamin Wisner Backon and quarterback Walter Irving Badger. Yale won the game 13-0 the first of four consecutive wins for the Bulldogs. The scorecard appears in VG/EX condition save for some mild toning and a heavy fold at the spine resulting in tiny paper notches at the center of each of the top and bottom edges. Some writing on the reverse on the part of the scorer is evident. That aside the piece presents extremely well a very early Yale scorecard.
