Spectacular hardcover program for the 1897 meeting between the Yale Bulldogs and Harvard Crimson. Played to a scoreless tie the game stopped a ten-game winning streak for Harvard who featured two All-Americans Allan Doucette and Benjamin Dibblee. The stunning 130-page program is well-worn some of the interior pages having pulled away from their staple binding but all the pages secure within the hardbound cover. The cover itself which depicts a stylized football with game information typeset inside measures approximately 11" x 7 1/2" exhibits areas of light wear and surface abrasion mild staining and wear at the spinie. Despite all this a lovely and durable program.
