Attractive postcard mailed in January of 1955 to "Ruggy" Grimshaw of Summit NJ reading as follows: Dear "Ruggy" I had the pleasure of meeting Dad yesterday. Fells me your a real ball player. Under separate cover I am forward you an American League base ball. Regards George S. The front of the postcard depicts Stirnweiss in his Yankee uniform and is inscribed "To Ruggy" and signed "George 'Snuffy' Stirnweiss." The card appears strong save for the markings resulting from postal use. Stirnweiss was of course out of major league baseball by 1955 and wound up accepting a position running the sandlot baseball program of the New York Journal-American newspaper in 1956. After several jobs Stirnweiss was tragically killed in a train wreck in 1958. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
