Ruth cards from his playing days are quite desirable as the demand and value of high-grade Ruths have pushed prices into the stratosphere leaving a high demand for the cards priced less astronomically. Examples such as this with a relatively clean and unblemished image have become more difficult to locate as collectors begin to put their Ruth cards away anticipating additional value appreciation.
