The R310 Butterfinger premiums were oversized photographs printed on unbelievably thin almost newsprint stock and distributed with Butterfinger candy bars. Due to the extreme lightweight paper they are very susceptible to damage of all kinds - it is common to find R310s torn wrinkled or with pieces missing and many times due to their large size (7 3/4" x 9 3/4") they are found with folds pinholes and tape. The cards were frequently mounted in scrapbooks or tacked to walls so such wear related to mounting is common often resulting in significant paper loss or tears. Presented is a collection of 30 examples from the issue including different representing of a complete set. Due to the condition issues and the overall unavailability of the cards complete sets are seldom seen as it seems that the Ruth and Gehrig premiums are readily available but the others are difficult to obtain when searching. Whle the majority of the cards do exhibit condition issues this is not unusual and the bulk of them present quite well the damage restricted to the edges. The collection also includes two more scarce examples from the V94 Canadian Butterfinger issue which are slightly smaller than the American counterparts measuring 6 1/2" x 8 1/2. An exceptional collection of Butterfinger premiums including 21 different cards from the Butterfinger R310 issue plus two additional from the V94 issue. Counting the duplicates 32 cards total.
