Spectacular high-grade specimen from an extraordinarily underrated issue featuring two Hall of Famers flanking a gorgeous photo of Johnny Evers sliding into third base. Described on the reverse as "one of the most annoying - to the other side - base stealers among the professionals " Evers stole 324 bases in his career a figure that still places him at a tie for #138 lifetime despite all the Rickey Hendersons and Vince Colemans and Omar Morenos of the world who have played over the last hundred seasons. The card is spectacular perfectly centered with sharp corners and edges along with brilliant white borders. The nature of these cards - "triple-folders " indeed - make high-grade specimens difficult to find as the folding and the large size of the cards typically creates creases and wear at the edges. In the case of this card the photo is particularly spectacular and detailed a wonderful example of how beautiful T202 cards can be when presented with crisp images and clean unworn surfaces.
