Significant full-color team photograph of the 1960 Pittsburgh Pirates dated to July 15 and taken in front of the ivy at Forbes Field. Virtually anyone affiliated with the team is present in this large-format photo which is matted and framed to a finished size of 35" x 20 1/4". The subjects in the photo are all identified at the bottom and include Hall of Famers Roberto Clemente George Sisler (suited to Clemente's left) and Bill Mazeroski. This is the same photo utilized for a well-known advertising sign issued by Iron City Beer though this example contains no identifying markings and was likely offered elsewhere as a premium. The photo is enormous certainly too large to have been a newspaper supplement. Unfortunately no photo credit is provided. Though the framing prohibits us from examining the edges or reverse of the photo the overall display is of NM quality with no signs of wear. Originating from the collection of Ted Patterson.
