Attractive collection of three difficult cards from the 1888 N46 "Cigarette Making Girls" issue distributed in packages of Virginia Brights cigarettes. Each of the cards pictures a woman (or in one case two women) sitting at a table labeled "Cigarette making " ostensibly involved in the manufacturing process of Virginia Brights cigarettes. Cards from the issue are scarce and seldom seen; we have elected to group them along with the baseball cards section due to their resemblance to the Old Judge and Gypsy Queen baseball issues. Collection includes three cards (Number 1 37 and 42) one of which is hand-tinted in blue and red. Light surface wear and in the case of card #1 glue staining keeps technical grades in the GOOD range.
