Extremely attractive N173 cabinet with a clean sharp image of pitcher/outfielder Bill Sowders who compiled a 19-15 record for the Boston Beaneaters in 1888. The image boasts outstanding detail the pose of Sowders depicting him "throwing" the baseball the stadium backdrop behind him. The numberical grade of FAIR 1.5 assessed by SGC speaks to mild staining as well as ink writing on the reverse. The front of the card while exhibiting some wear at the corners presents far in excess of the assigned grade.
