Attractive midgrade rookie card of one of the greatest pitchers of his or any era the Cardinals' Bob Gibson. The fearsome righty opened his career mildly with just three wins in each of his first two seasons. He began hitting his stride at 26 years old striking out 208 in 233 innings pitched improving each year until his dominant performance in 1968 where he went 22-9 with an astonishing 1.12 ERA. The EX 5 grade assessed by Beckett speaks mostly to centering with a softer top-right corner. Still a bright and crisp card.
