Billed the "World's Greatest Baseball Field " the stadium is full (a few faces of attendees are pictured in the left foreground). Copy along the bottom of the image reads "Dedication of Forbes Field Pittsburgh vs. Chicago June 30 1909 - World's Greatest Baseball Field" and "Copyright 1909 W. Schaefer 403 Federal St. N S Pittsburg PA." The postcard has not been folded and retains a blank back technically VG due to light wear and corner rounding but with far stronger appearance. Measures approximately 10 7/8" x 3 3/8". A rarely seen postcard Forbes Field postcards are particularly desirable.
