Produced by the Max Rigot Selling Company of Chicago this enormous panoramic postcard (measuring nearly two feet across by 5 1/4" high) celebrates Chicago's "new" ballpark - White Sox Park. The Rigot company issued several different postcards of similar size and subject matter with this one presenting a panoramic view of the ballfield from the left-field grandstand. The card's extraordinary size obviously makes it susceptible to wear; this example exhibits the expected corner and edge wear. Staining and toning on the reverse does not extend through to the front nor does the postal use. Tremendous aesthetic appeal some signs of wear on the surface of the photo itself likely a result of the postal use a technical grade in the VG range irrespective of the writing and postmark. Easily suitable for framing this would make an outstanding display piece.
