Incredibly rare Philadelphia-area regional issue distributed by Sealtest Dairy. Each of the set's 12 specimens consisted of oversized cards (3 1/2" x 4 1/2") that doubled as stickers with peel-off backs. The cards are identical to the Lummis Peanut Butter cards issued the same year. While each card from the set is scarce and valuable in its own right the card of Richie Ashburn is unquestionably the key to the set. SGC has graded only two examples at this level with just one higher; PSA has graded no example higher than VG-EX 4. A stunning card kept from a higher grade due to discoloration on the reverse mostly ignored by SGC since the discoloration is typical for the issue a result of the aging of the adhesive from the sticker. A truly rare example in this type of condition.
