Interesting regional issue distributed in panels that served as partial packaging for Peters Declicious meat products. The cards were produced on heavy cardboard with a waxy coating and actually were produced in two different types - the "standard" size package containing the skinless wieners and a slightly more narrow - and considerably more scarce - package that contained the company's "Porkette" product. The cards each featured members of the first-year Minnesota Twins notably Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew along with stars Zoilo Versalles Jim Kaat and coach Eddie Lopat. Presented here is a complete 26-card set on full panels which includes two of the "Porkette" panels - Card #6 of Jack Kralick and card #20 of Reno Bertola. The cards all present well but like most of the surviving cards from the issue have been subject to wear and soiling over the years many of the waxy surfaces exhibiting some staining or dirt. While a few of the panels are creased at the top or bottom folding tabs the panels themselves are stable and unfolded. The set averages VG/EX condition with some better and a few lesser. 26 panels total.
