Young collectors as they learn about the hobby and begin to delve into vintage cards eventually learn about "error" cards. This "error" was one of the most famous - as right-handed practical joker Lew Burdette grabbed a left-handed glove and allowed the Topps photographer to shoot a picture of him posing as if he were a lefty. The result was one of the most infamous cards of the era. This example was jokingly signed "Lefty" Lou Burdette by the pitcher (who passed in 2007) and while the card or autograph do not carry a lot of collector value we thought it was cool enough to run as a separate lot in the auction.
