Exceptional full ticket to Yankee Stadium for Game 1 of the 1949 World Series. An outstanding pitcher's duel between Don Newcombe and Allie Reynolds the Yankees were stifled for the entire game. In fact Newcombe set the record for World Series strikeouts by a losing pitcher with 11. Heading into the bottom of the 9th the game tied 0-0 Tommy Henrich led of the inning with the first walk-off home run in World Series history - a solo shot to win the game 1-0. Attractive ticket some moderate toning and edge wear keeping it from a high technical grade but not significantly reducing its visual appeal.
