The 1953 Bowman Color issue is considered by many to be the most beautiful postwar baseball card sets ever issued its fantastic full-color photographs creating a powerful but minimalistic design that has stood the test of time. The cards are perfect for autographs though a signed set is quite difficult to obtain. Presented here is an outstanding collection of 29 signed cards from the set many of which were obtained in person or through the mail by our consignor. Each signature was applied in blue ballpoint though the gorgeous signature of Solly Hemus may have been written in black (its difficult to tell).
