Outstanding framed collection of Shibe Park World Series ticket stubs each more artistic and appealing than the one before it. Arranged more for aesthetics than for order three World Series are represented each professionally matted and framed to a finished size of just over 11" x 17". Tickets included are as follows: 1) 1929 World Series Game 5: The deciding game of the series Rube Walbert pitching 5.1 innings in relief of Howard Ehmke while the Athletics rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth. Ticket appears to be a strong midgrade example rich with color and detail. 2) 1930 World Series Game 2: 6-1 Athletics victory over the Cardinals George Earnshaw holding the Cards while the Athletics scored twice in the first third and fourth. Ticket appears EX but has a very thin strip of paper loss at the perf on the upper edge that may recuce the technical grade and a similar slice at the bottom left. 3) 1931 World Series Game 5: 5-1 St. Louis victory Pepper Martin blasting a home run and Waite Hoyt taking the loss. VG condition rounded corners and softer edges but still boasting outstanding visual appeal. It should be noted that the matting and framing prevents us from examining the back of the tickets. Three stubs total.
