The 1961 Topps stamps were issued as inserts with 1961 Topps wax packs issued as two-stamp panels but intended to be detached and affixed to a stamp album that could be purchased by collectors for an additional ten cents. The set included 208 stamps but the stamps were issued on 182 different panels with each player appearing with multiple partners on the panel. 104 of the stamps featured brown backgrounds and 104 featured green backgrounds. Presented here is a grouping of 35 of the panels each appearing strong with attractive images and clean backgrounds. We will not attempt to grade stamp panels as we feel that grading stamps of this nature is a completely subjective endeavor; suffice to say that the stamps are largely sturdy and intact though a few have begun to separate from their partners at the edges and the edges all appear sufficiently jagged with only minor wear. 35 stamps in total as follows: Altman/McDaniel; Ashburn (HOF)/Jay; Bailey/Breeding (2); Barber/Sievers (2); Bell/Geiger; Bolling/Herzog (HOF) (2); Bouchee/Sherry; Brewer/Davis; Brewer/Law; Buzhardt/B.
