Another intriguing strip card set the W519 style of strip cards actually features three different designs: two numbered and one unnumbered set all with colorized player images and actual photographs. As with any card from this era the key card is that of Babe Ruth depicted here in a Yankees uniform where he played his first season where he socked an unheard of 54 home runs driving in 137 runs and batting .376. And simultaneously setting the baseball world ablaze as it would stay for 13 seasons while Ruth led the New York Yankees to multiple championships and built a franchise that would remain the most powerful and wealthy in sports even today. This example is particularly worn exhibiting surface wear consistent with the issue as well as a horizontal crease across the card center. Glue stains are evident on the reverse as is what appears to be mild paper loss from scrapbook removal. Still a strong example of what remains Ruth's most attractive strip card.
