Gorgeous 1 1/4" diameter pinback issued in 1909 to welcome Cy Young back to Cleveland near the close of his legendary career. Young was traded to the Cleveland Naps in February of 1909 and had an outstanding season going 19-15 with an ERA of just 2.26. That would be the last of Young's superstar seasons however as 1910 and 1911 would see him win just seven games each year. Pinback is in exceptional condition the original paper Whitehead & Hoag backing still intact. It appears that the initials "DY" have been written in the clear area on the pinback the only real condition issue with the pinback that is otherwise quite strong with only minor discoloration related to age on the front.
