Spectacular 14 karat Balfour size 11 ring from the dawn of the Big Red Machine their 1972 (pardon the "1971" typo in our printed catalog) National League Championship over the Pittsburgh Pirates - the team's first championship in what would be a remarkable run of four NL Championship appearances (and two World Series wins) in five years. Presented to minority owner David Gamble (of Proctor & Gamble fame) this is as fine a League Championship ring as you will see featuring the Reds "C" logo inset with red stones. The ring's right shank bears the National League logo and series result ("Reds - 3 Pirates - 2") while the left bears an image of Cincinnati's Riverfront stadium Gamble's name and the Reds' "C" logo where a player's number would otherwise appear. The Balfour name is stamped inside the left shank. A total weight of 33 grams simply a beautiful piece.
