Third baseman "Frenchy" Bordagaray played for 11 seasons hitting .283 with five different teams primarily the Brooklyn Dodgers. The colorful infielder got his start in the Pacific Coast League before moving to Chicago in 1934. In 1939 Bordagaray opened a Cincinnati nightclub called Bordegaray's Barn. Presented here is a rare full feature matchbook from the nightclub with full-color artwork outside and a full pack of baseball bat-shaped matches each with Bordagaray facsimile signature on the inside. The matchbook is in EX to EX-MT condition with mild wear at the folds. The striker is intact and unused.
