One of several pose changes in the T206 set that occurred due to a player changing teams Carl Lundgren was purchased in June 1909 by Kansas City after a string of strong seasons was interrupted by a sudden and unexplained drop in numbers. Ludgren was waived early in the 1909 season and picked up by Brooklyn to be sold to an Eastern League club; a brief retirement was followed by three minor league seasons. Lundgren is also depicted in the T206 issue with Kansas City a team for which he never played. This variation is highly desirable particularly in higher grades. Graded EX 5 by SGC the card is clean and sharp some mild corner wear the primary flaw.
